The budding engineers begin their journey through the Department of first year engineering.
Vivekananda believed education is the manifestation of perfection already in men.
Hence the main aim of First Year Engineering Department is to prepare strong foundation of students on four basic pillars.
1. Building necessary academic knowledge base through proper understanding of basic sciences that is Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and fundamental subjects of major engineering disciplines such as Basic Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, Fundamental Programming Language.
2. Inculcating creativity and innovative thinking abilities through possible exposure to the various Engineering subject applications which they study during first year.
3. Making them aware about the necessary personality traits, attitude, behavioral attributes and skill sets to become responsible citizens and overall good human being.
4. To create and nurture sense of self responsibility and make them realize what they owe to the society.

National Science Day Event 2022

Theme:
National Science Day 2022 is 'Integrated Approach in S &T for Sustainable Future'. By celebrating this day as National Science Day, we show our dignity and respect to the famous Indian physicist for his contribution in the field of Science. We conducted Mini Projects /Poster/Drawing/Sketch/Painting Competition on the Occasion of National Science Day for the first year student on 28 th February 2022..
Description:
National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 th February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian Physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.
For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
Students have understood the importance and responsibility as an Engineer. The students have developed their management skills to arrange events.
Conduction :
The Event was conducted for FE Students to enhance their knowledge.
This Event included number of topics for Mini Projects/Poster/Drawing/Sketch/Painting.

Techno Event Exhibition2022

Date of the Event : Monday, 18/07/2022
Time of the Event : 11:00am To 2:30pm
Venue of the Event : Engineering Science Department.
Theme:
Theme of Exihibition was to undertake a problem which can be theoretical, practical, social, technical, symbolic, cultural and/or scientific and grows out of students’ wondering within different disciplines and professional environments. The problem may involve an interdisciplinary approach in both the analysis and solving phases.
Description:
Project based learning (PBL) requires continuous mentoring by faculty throughout the semester for successful completion of the tasks selected by the students per batch. While assigning the teaching workload a load of 2 Hrs/week/batch needs to be considered for the faculty involved. The Batch needs to be divided into sub-groups of 5 to 6 students. Assignments / activities / models/ projects etc. under project based learning is carried throughout semester and Credit for PBL has to be awarded on the basis of internal continuous assessment and evaluation at the end of semester Students have understood the importance and responsibility as an Engineer. The students have developed their management skills to arrange events.
Conduction :
Event was smoothly conducted under the guidance of F.E. H.O.D. Prof. S. K. Wakchaure Sir and Class Teachers of respective Divisions. Exhibition held in Basic electrical lab and Physics lab of Engineering Science department.
Total 36 students were presented their project and response of student was overwhelming. Out of 36 projects, 21 students made model of project, 10 were computer programming projects and remaining are case studies projects.

Theme of function was to introduce students for various academic prerequisite and extracurricular activities, Creative arts, Literary Activity, Proficiency modules and Physical activities like sports are arranged.

Description:
New student orientation is a period of time at the beginning of the academic year at a university or institution. A variety of events are held to orient and welcome new students. Every year the First Year department of ICOER Organized the Induction Program of First Year students. Students have understood the importance and responsibility as an Engineer.

Conduction :
Induction Activity was smoothly conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. R.S. Deshpande Sir, F.E. H.O.D. Prof. S. K. Wakchaure Sir, Departmental H.O.D’s , Class Teachers of respective Divisions and all first year faculty

Activity:
• Proficiency Modules - An Activity formed accordings, Firstly, students are asked to login https://www.efset.org. Enroll and register & asked them to perform 15 minutes and 50 minutes’ test which has two sections: reading and listening by log in https://www.efset.org.
• Creative Art Activity- An Activity was performed division wise. Students were asked to participate in activities of Poster making , Rangoli & Mehendi.
• Literary Activity- An Activity formed in 3 formats. Firstly, students are encouraged about to write a summary regarding their qualification details & also told them to write a summary about why you chosen particular Branch.

Secondly Debate on various topics like Robot Vs Human Being, Modern City Life Vs Rural Life etc. one boy & one girl student randomly picked and activity is taken between them
• Cultural Activity- An Activity was performed by enlighting lamp and performing saraswati poojan thereafter different solo performances were performed by students.

Fresher Party Program for First year students AY2019-20 Sem-I

Imperial College of Engineering and Research has organized Fresher Party Program for First year students AY2019-20 Sem-I on Saturday 09/11/2019 at Mechanical Seminar Hall, “C” Building, ICOER.
This programme is anchored by student representatives of different divisions. The student of each division participates in cultural program. On the occasion of Fresher’s Party FE department also organized the Mr. & Miss Fresher Competition. Total 39 Students from each division are participated. First round has conducted.10 students (5 Boys and 5 Girls) has been selected. Final round has conducted one Mr. fresher is selected from boys and one Miss fresher from girls.
The Principal Dr. D.D. Shah, Dean of Admissions Prof. S.K.Wakchaure,First Year HOD Dr. M.G.Wani, HODs of all departments and all faculty member of FE were present.










Welcome function of First year student named “Pradhava at Seminar Hall, Mechanical Dept., ICOER.

Every year the First Year department of ICOER Organized the Welcome function of First year student named “Pradhava” on Monday, 07/08/2018. To make acquainted Newly Inducted Students with College/Institute, Academics and smooth transition from High Schools to Undergraduate. After the function students and parents aware about all the activities and functioning of institute.
In the function all the college ranker students, Subject wise toppers, division wise toppers and good Achievement Students of previous year were felicitated by chief guest.
Welcome function was smoothly conducted under the guidance of F.E. H.O.D. Prof. M. G. Wani, on this occasion, Campus Director Dr. S. N. Patil, Director Dr. V. A. Kayande. Principal Dr. D.D. Shah and Two parent representative were present, Around 150 Students and 50 parents were attained the function. Participation and response of student was overwhelming.

Pre-requisite Enhancement Program for First year students at FE dept. classrooms, Mechanical Seminar Hall, Civil seminar hall on 8th August 2019 to 16th August 2019.

Induction programme for first year students is introduced to familiarize them to the new environment and encourage them to learn beyond classrooms. Objective is to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self exploration.
After the session students learnt the basics of various subjects, adapted communication skills and became aware about the functioning and role of various bodies in the college. They were educated about various activities conducted in college.

Nowadays, in few areas farmers are facing serious situations due to heavy rain. To assist the farmers for such issues, this technology will protect their cultivation and improve their financial status.
SOLUTION:
A porous cylinder will be implanted in the soil to indicate the water level, according to the water level the opening and closing of the roof will be controlled by control unit.

Student's Association

Purpose

The purpose of student Association at Engineering Science department is to provide a structure through which students may exercise their right to freely associate in pursuit of a common purpose or goal that enhances community. The Students' Association is also dedicated to the growth and continuance of student services and cultural enrichment in department.

Objective

First Year Student Association provides platform for students to take out their skills viz, Creativity, Leadership, Team play, Coordination. It also promotes students to carry out various co-curricular and extracurricular activities like, Seminar Presentation, Guest Lectures, Managing Industrial Visits, organize various Co-curricular events.
This is one of the most essential skills that students learn by being a part of the student council. Being leaders of certain groups and societies, students learn to establish goals, delegate responsibility and give directions to their peers on executing tasks successfully.
Gain leadership and interpersonal skills Encourage the development of occupational, social, special interest and service organizations with an emphasis on occupationally related student organizations.

Parents Teacher Meet (ABHISARAN-II) AY2018-19 Sem-II

Imperial College of Engineering and Research has organized Parent Meet ((ABHISARAN-II)) of FE department on Saturday 23. 03. 2019 at Aryabhatta Conf. Hall, Civil Dept., ICOER. This event was intended to discuss the issues related to performance of students with their parents.The meeting was organized under guidance of Head of Dept. Dr. Mukund G. Wani and teaching and non-teaching staff of Dept.

2. Felicitation for Topper Student
3. To provide information about student oriented activities.
4. To provide performance report of students and Attendance.
5. To discuss the issue related to performance of their ward.

Suggestion From Parents
Dr. D.D. Shah, Principal addressed the parents and gave the idea about different activities to be held in the institute like ‘Innovation Competition’ for students.
Dr. S. V. Admane, campus director introduced the parents with the vision and mission of JSPM for welfare of students.
A big session of discussion with parents is held in presence of Director Dr. S. V. Admane and Principal Dr. D. D. Shah.
In the meeting, parent representative (Mr. Panchage and Mr. Padalkar) suggested shared their views.

(अभिसरण) First Year Parents Meeting

Parents teachers meeting of First year student named “Abisaran 2” in A.Y 2016-17. Parents meeting was smoothly conducted under the guidance of F.E. H.O.D. Prof. S. K. Wakchaure, on this occasion, Campus Director Dr. S.N. Patil , Principal Dr. D.D. Shah and one parents representative Mrs. Suvarna Gorakh Pawar Assistant commissioner ICPS  were present. As this is departmental activity no chief guest were invited for the function. On this occasion principal sir expressed his views related to Phase I online results and strategies decided for those students who scoreless marks in online exam.

(प्राध्व) First Year Welcome Function

Welcome function of First year student named “प्राध्व 2016”. Theme of function was to introduce students for various academic and extracurricular activities, GFM activity run by college, rules and regulations of college, university exam pattern etc. After the function students and parents aware all the functioning of institute.

Project Competition

A Mini project competition was arranged in FE department. The students were informed to prepare a mini project from whatever they had learned in the current subjects. The criteria for the competition were, the budget should be limited to `500. It was decided that each gfm should encourage the students in their batch to make one mini projects. The individual projects were also appreciated. The Judges panel included the HOD FE department Prof. S.K Wakchaure, Both the A and B group co-coordinators Prof Topannvar P.S and Prof Lende D.B and one teaching staff representative Prof. Mannpuram Jaijo.

Guest Lecture on Basic Electrical Engg

Guest lecture was smoothly conducted under the guidance of FE H.O.D. Prof. S. K. Wakchaure, Prof. Khan F. J, Prof. Shevkar S. S, the lecture was delivered by Dr S. N. Patil Director Wagholi Campus, Wagholi Pune. Dr S.N Patil revised the unit no 3 and 4 with the students and guided them how to write the answers, how to interpret the data in the numerical and how to memories the important formulae and derivations.
